I had the honor of showcasing my work in What Can You Do With A Degree In Art, the final exhibition of artist Sven Anderson at the Martin-Mullen Art Gallery. The show celebrated Sven’s legacy and featured work by artists he respected and admired. Among them, my piece was displayed alongside the official cover of Adobe Photoshop 2021 by Ted Chin — an incredibly surreal and humbling moment, especially since I’d seen that artwork countless times while teaching and working in design. Standing next to it felt like a true milestone in my creative journey.
For the exhibition, I contributed Overgrowth of Life I and II, a pair of playful but thought-provoking pieces imagining a post-GMO world where plants and animals grow to massive, surreal proportions. Being part of this show — held from November 15–28, 2021 — was an unforgettable experience and one I’ll always be proud of.
